The Retaliators: Rise of the Dark Order

It's been a year since the Battle of Highway 5 when a group formed The Retaliators fought against an army of orcs and stopped their invasion.

The guy who put us together, known as Director has called me, Captain Arkansas, and Spy Lady to meet secretly in causal clothes at Campground park. He said that he was getting hunted down by cyborg assassins.

He told us that the Secret Agency that is assigned to protect Cabot was going to stop the orc invasion by firing a missile powered by the glow-in-the-dark Rubik's cube. If it would of hit, it would destroy everything in a 5-mile radius that would result in the destruction of Cabot, Austin, and Ward.

"You got to be fudging kidding me! What are those motherlovers think they doing!? Trying to blow the scrap up of our area!" He calmed down and told us, "I know there is a secret computer hidden in the town of Jersey, Arkansas that's not far from El Dorado. It should hold records of all the conversations that happen, including between the higher ups."

We boarded a plane and went to Jersey. We kept a low profile and found a secret underground bunker. Inside was a bunch of computers with a few guards patrolling. Spy Lady threw some tranquillizer-dipped paper ninja stars to take care of the guards. With them taking care of, Director went to the main terminal and type a few words. After a few minutes of searching, his eyes widen and said to himself, "Oh karabast man."


I asked him what's wrong and he told us he was reading a transcript of an audio log. He figure he click on it for us to listen. "Our plans to use the orc invasion as a cover story destroy Northern Lonoke county has been stopped. No matter, our next plan of action is Operation: Raindown that will destroy any potential threats to the Dark Order." He stopped for a second and than suddenly shout, "IN THE NAME OF THE EVIL ELF KING! WE WILL SUCCEED!" The audio ended.

Director turned towards us in his computer chair. His face showed like he is going through a revelation his worse fears just happen, "Over the years, our Secret Agency has heard rumors and fairy tales of an evil version of us but we never had proof it existed. I guess I start from the beginning."

Once upon a time, during the founding of Cabot, seven individuals to form the Secret Agency to protect the new town from threats. They were the Founders. They are Oscar, Albert, Kyle, Louis, Aaron, Nicholas, and Douglas.

We don't know much but we have a collection of journals of some details. Louis was a younger brother of the Main Founder himself, Oscar. Apparently he argued his brother several times. Louis mentioned that they should be more than protectors of the town. That should make the town into a large metropolis that will eclipse Little Rock itself, make itself the new capital. Control the state behind the scenes as they see fit. The Head Founder was surprised on his brother's views, he had no choice but to kick him out of the Agency."

Within the next two years, some of the Founders were mysteriously died. Douglas who was Copper Man's ancestor died in a horse carriage accident. Albert died from his food being mysteriously poisoned. Kyle was killed by train robbers and mysteriously didn't take the loot.

One day, the remaining three founders were at Oscars house, drinking whiskey and playing cards. They stopped their game when they notice it was smelling like smoke. They look around and saw fire and smoke coming from the other room. They try to head for the exit but what was blocking it was Louis and two men armed with rubber band guns. The Founders quickly pulled out their rubber band guns and killed the two men next to Louis. Oscar charged towards his brother as the evil one fired his weapon at his brother's gut. Despite being heavily wounded, the good one pulled smack the weapon out of his attacker's hand. The two engaged in a fist fight.

Aaron and Nicholas heard a few phrases from the fight but it's hard to make out as the fires were engulfing the house more and more. From what they could out, "You have gone mad!" "I will bring down everything you built and rebuilt it in my image."  "I should of have you executed back then traitorous swine!" "Just die already!" "I been assisted by elves from ancient times to help to achieve my goal and Arkansas will be mine." "I'm dragging you into the fiery pits of Hell!"

The two other Founders warned the two brothers about the fires is getting worse and worse. Seeing it's too late for them, they use their shirts to cover their mouths from the smoke and left them to survive. Nicholas kicked a nearby window a few times to make an exit. Aaron looked back at the two brothers and saw part of the ceiling collapsed top of them. Aaron heard glass broke and was told, "Let's get out of here!"

The remaining two Founders escape and went back to their lives and continue running the Secret Agency. They weren't quite sure what they make what they heard in the fire, they did admit they were drunk that night. Since that night, they never saw the two brothers again.

However, there has been some stories that Louis was spotted alive a few months after but there has never been official proof. Rumors have spread if he is alive, he is running an evil counterpart of the agency.

The Director asked us, "Have you heard of Oakland Grove in Northern Lonoke?" We all shook heads no. "It was far bigger than Cabot at the time but it declined greatly. It renamed itself as Old Austin while everyone else moved closer to Austin and Cabot. However that wasn't the 1st sign that Cabot became the fastest growing city. People wanted an ordnance plant in Jacksonville during World War II which led to a ton of people moving in that general area, they could chose other places. Racial tensions happen in the 50s where people were freaking out and scatter in different directions. Other things came by like their schools became well known. People wanted in air force base in Jacksonville which led to people moving here. A tornado came by and destroyed everything but alot people came together and help rebuild this city. Stories of teens pulling guns down south cause parents to pull their kids up north. People wanting the nearby city of Beebe getting a college which led to people moving closer. What if some of this was planned".

Captain Arkansas asked, "Are you saying the rapid growth was purposely caused?" Spy Lady asked, "Why Cabot? If the Dark Order can infiltrate people and control stuff behind the scenes, why not Little Rock instead?" Director replied, "Cause they really want the Agency itself. We have the power and resources. With the city's rapid growth, we get more employment, however that may of caused our organization get infiltrated."

I remembered something that was heard on the audio file, "So the Evil Elf King is involved in all this?" Director replied, "At the time, the Founders were drunk, so it was easy to dismiss, but after hearing your encounters with the elf, the pieces seem to fit together. That spoony nerfherder may been helping the Dark Order and other villainous groups to take over this land since the beginning."

Spy Lady asked, "So what's Operation: Raindown? It doesn't sound good." Director told us, "Well it was suppose to help us take down threats before they become a problem. We had three airships with a computer that will target and kill their upcoming threats with their onboard giant Nerf guns but those fierfek idiots must of reprogram them. What's worse is the operation starts tomorrow at Noon, so we have to stop them before it starts."

We went back to Cabot in the morning. Cap brought a friend to help called Birdie that uses a jetpack with wings. We sneak inside the underground facility of the Secret Agency through a hidden door. We set our Nerf guns to stun and knockout any guards patrolling the area. We found our way into the commutations room and Captain Arkansas press some buttons and speak into the microphone. "ALERT! THE DARK ORDER IS REAL! THEY HAVE INFILTRATED THE SECRET AGENCY, INCLUDING SOME OF THE HIGHER UPS. THEY PLAN TO USE OPERATION: RAINDOWN TO KILL ANYBODY THAT'S A THREAT TO THEM!"

With in the next few minutes, the Dark Order agents revealed themselves in the underground building and attempt to fire on anyone that's not a member. Several agents quickly pulled out their Nerf guns to fight back against their aggressors.

Our small team went through the halls and killed any enemies in our way. We entered one of the office where the head council is station at. Inside we see several members standing up with Nerf guns pointed at us while we notice a group of dead bodies on the floor. They must of people that were not members of the Dark Order.

Cap used his sheet of cardboard to block the attacks. Soon they ran out of ammo, we stabbed one guy to death and order the other to end the operation. He said, "It's too late, I told the airships to start early and it will ready in an hour, glory to the Dark Order!" Spy Lady said to them, "Louis should be dead from old age at least, there's not need to continued his legacy." The evil man laughed, "His legacy?! No the Dark Order has been around for centuries. The Elf King saw potential in him and the Secret Agency and use it to further it's goals. It's a shame you ruined our plans to blow the city, imagine what it be like if we rebuild the city from it's ashes. Cabot is taking forever to grow and barely half the size of Conway. No matter, our Order will succeed." Next he grabbed Spy Lady's Nerf gun and shot himself in the head, killing him.

We hurried to the Agency's armory. We radioed Birdie to take care of the airship's computer at Searcy. I told Cap to equip a jetpack and take care of the one in Vilonia. I take care of the one hovering over Jacksonville.

I arrived at the Jacksonville airship and landed on a giant helipad. I ran through the deck that was somehow  built like an obstacle course. I had to dodge flamethrowers, human-sized bullets with angry faces painted on them, and human-sized wind-up toy soldiers. After a few minutes, I found some stairs that would lead me to the control room. Inside the room waiting for me was a cyborg assassin on a giant beach ball, waving a magic wand. He threw magical shapes out of his wand, I avoid the attack and jumped up into the air. With one strike of my fist into his face, he fell off his giant beach ball. He got up to his feet and pulled out a butter knife to stab me. I use a piece of cardboard to block his attacks. I use the sheet to knocked the knife from his hand. Giving him no time to act, I dived to grabbed the butter knife and threw it at the assassin. It landed into his chest, ending him.

I went to the computer and threw a dodge ball at it, causing the machine to explode. Wasting no time, I kicked open a glass window and use my jetpack to hightail out of there.

I watched the airship crashed into the wilderness. I radioed the others and they say they succeeded their mission. The wreckage from the airships were clean up overnight and none of the average citizens notice anything.

We stop Operation: Raindown but there are members of the Dark Order out there but we be ready....
