You Will Cry!!! With Marvel!!!! (Phase 3)

1. You will cry... that good guys are fighting each other.

2. I'm going to spoil who dies in the movie...it's Peggy Carter.

Note#1- a complaint from casual viewers. Even good guys will have strong disagreements that will make each other fight. The story is somewhat loosely based on a storyline in the Marvel comics.

Note#2- I wouldn't consider the death of Peggy Carter an actual spoiler. She was Captain America's love interest during WWII. His body was frozen at the end of the war and wasn't found till the early 2010s. When he woke up, his love interest was a 90 year old woman.

Here's the trailer

*Spoilers ahead, skip the entire section*

1. You will cry...When you see Peter Quill... turned into a giant Pac-Man.
Also this is a better movie than Pixals.

2. That this was a better Transformers or Fantastic Four movie than feature a giant planet monster than those movies.

3. You will cry when you see the ending.

Note#1- As ridiculous this movie is with a talking raccoon with a talking tree, Peter Quill turning into Pac-Man is ridiculous by GotG standards but who cares, it was awesome.

Note#2- Galactus, the planet eater was in 2nd Fantastic Four movie from the mid-00s was nothing but a giant cloud. Unicron, the other planet eater. Well after so many Michael Bay movies, I don't think many people would care.

Note#3-
Yeah, it was sad.

1.I'm going to make you watch Spider-Man Homecoming. You will cry...When you see the actress Zendaya playing as Mary Jane Watson...Or Not...Or Maybe...Umm something.

2. That Flash Thompson, the big jock bully....is a nerd.
We went from a guy that beat you and take your lunch money...

to this guy. I could easily whoop this boy with my eyes closed.

3. That the elderly Aunt May is young and attractive
Well the supposed 2022 reboot never happen but it may go this down this route if it continues.

4. That you were disappointed on the post credits.
Patience

Note#1- Spidey's one true love is the beautiful blond Gwen Stacy... Err I mean the lovely redhead Mary Jane Watson.(It varies in different versions, Gwen's usually the girl that passes away)

A year before the movie came out, it was rumored Zendaya was going to be MJ and people complain. Mostly due to a fair skin redhead is played now played by a biracial girl. Heck, the entire cast been re-imagined with diversity like Ned, Flash, and Liz. However this isn't the first time happen to them. Ultimate Spider-Man(a comic that retells the story in the 2000s) and the show, Spectacular Spider-Man did this to Peter's classmates.

A later interview showed Zendaya said she's playing Michelle, not Mary Jane. Also she said her character is anti-social which clashes with MJ's fun-going personality.

Then at the end of the movie, she told her classmates to call her MJ. Then the internet exploded again since she's MJ again...or not. Some don't like her due to her openly mocking her classmates.

She did seems a little bit closer to her classic personality in the later films with her being a good supportive friend and wasn't as controversial as she was in the 1st film.

Note#2- Flash Thompson was your usually jock bully. He does stop being a bully later on in his life. In the new Spider-Man movie, he is a bully, but he more like a rich upper class man whose the top of his class type of bully. The team behind the movie wanted to update the character with today's times, since bullies do come from different groups in school. But honesty, does this guy like someone who will enlist in the army like the other versions.

Like MJ, the later films have him being a total Spider-Man fanboy, show his nice side, ad not being a 1-dimenional bully. He wasn't controversial like he was in the 1st film.

Note#3- Aunt May did appear in a smaller role in Captain America: Civil War and viewers were surprised she's even far more younger than any previous actresses. The Tobey Maguire version of Aunt May was the closest of the original comics. They made her younger because the people who made this wonder if she is the wife of the brother of Peter's father, shouldn't she be closer to Peter's parents' age.

People do joke about Peter getting younger but he did started out as 15-year in the original comics.

Note#4-Imagine you were at the theater and waited through the credits to see a teaser of the next Marvel movie, only to see Captain American on a white background, teaching you about patience. Saying waiting and having patience leads to victory, other times it's not worth it, you wonder why wait so long for something so disappointing.

Basically Marvel is trolling the audience. They know their viewers are sitting through the long credits.

Here's the trailer if you want to see

You will cry...When you see the Hulk's butt. Gross, I don't want to see his huge green CGI glutenous maximus. I had enough from Neo, Wolverine, and Deadpool already.

I'm going to make you watch Black Panther...You will cry...That the main villain...Is a clone of the main hero.

Seriously Marvel? Can't you make your heroes fight something that's not a copy?

Note- I couldn't come up with a good enough joke but then I realized an early early complaint, that the villain has a copy of the hero's suit. Throughout the MCU, there been alot villains that are more or less copies.
  • Iron Man vs. Iron Monger- 2 dudes in armored suits.
  • Iron Man vs. Whiplash- They're both powered by arc reactors
  • Hulk vs. Abomination- Two behemoths.
  • Captain America vs. Red Skull- Both injected with Super Soldier Serum.
  • Captain America vs. Winter Soldier- Two young living people from the 1940s living in the 21st century.
  • Ant-Man vs. Yellow Jacket- They both have shrinking powers.

Here's the trailer
Yes, that's Bilbo and Gollum

1.You will cry...That you didn't see Hawkeye and Ant-Man. Not only that, you never saw Drax either.

2. That X dies...

Note#1- Hawkeye was set up for next year's Endgame while Ant-Man was going to have stand alone sequel that will lead to Endgame.

As for Drax...
The internet was joking that Drax was "invisible" throughout Infinity War.

Note#2- Infinity War was known for being a game changer for the MCU. There were spoilers, fake spoilers, teases on what happen to the movie all over the internet.

Here's the trailer

You will cry... on how Nick Fury lost his eye.

Note- There were theories over the years of how Nick Fury lost his eye. Captain Marvel took place in the 90s and we finally see it and he simply got his eye scratch out by a mere cat...Ok , a weird alien cat that can eat everything and shoot out tentacles but it acted like a regular cat during that one scene. People were not happy this he lost his eye in an anti-climatic fashion. In the comics, his eye got damage when he got hit by a grenade while battling Nazis.

*Major spoilers for all of Avengers: Endgame. Skip to the next movie if you don't want to see. You been warned*

1. You will cry...That the main villain dies in the 1st fifteen minutes. Seriously, just like that, well time to leave the theater then.

2. That you haven't seen Daredevil, Luke Cage, Punisher, Agents of Shield, Runaways, and that awful Inhumans or you be confused on the movie since you never saw these shows.

3. That Thor is fat. That the Hulk talks normal and is smart.

4. That they are coping off the infamous comic story of Captain America, a man who values the American ideals says, "Hail Hydra". You know, the Nazis.

5. That the overly hyped Captain Marvel didn't do much

6. That X dies

7. That Captain America's ending didn't make sense

8. That there was no post credits. Man, nobody came to the theaters to see the movie itself, they came to see the post-credits, if they don't have one, then what's the point of watching?

Note#1- Yes, Thanos did actually died 15 minutes within the movie, however the powers where he took away of half of all life in the universe was un-reversible. They then discover time travel to undo everything, then Thanos from years ago learn of their plans and time travels to the present to battle them.

Note#2- I joke with others that your required to see all the TV shows that take place in the MCU. Forgot trying to catch up on 22 movies but several TV shows as well. However while these shows do take place in the same world, the movies don't reference them at all. They know not everyone watches stuff beyond the movies and they don't reference it for the sake of confusing casuals. So you can watch the shows at your own pace if you want or not watch them, instead of forcing yourself to watch just to not be confused at Endgame.

Well at least shows before WandaVision premiered. All the new shows since 2021 were developed by Marvel studios that also made the movies and it's not made by some secondary team that has little commutation with Marvel Studios

Also, Daredevil and Kingpin has appeared in new material that directly connected to the MCU. Hopefully they won't make 500 confusing references to the pre-WandaVision shows.

Note#3- Failing on undo the damage Thanos did, Thor became upset and got fat within the 5 years.
As for the Hulk, his and Bruce Banner's personalities merged into Professor Hulk. The merged personalities guy was also in the comics as well.

It is funny to show people who haven't seen this movie and show them how much Thor and Hulk has changed.

Note#4- A few years back, there was a comic storyline called Secret Empire. The storyline started with Captain America as the leader of S.H.I.E.L.D saying, "Hail Hydra", revealing he was a sleeper agent all these years and now he is in control of the government organization.

People complained a symbol of American values, who was originally written by Jewish writers, is now a Nazi sleeper agent and people wanted to burn their Captain America comics.

Then it was reveal that the Cosmic Cube or Tesseract as MCU viewers know, rewrote reality itself, making Cap into an agent of Hydra. In the end, the good version of Captain America came back and he is now existing with the evil Nazi Hydra counterpart and they fought.

Now in the actual movie itself, the Avengers were time traveling into the past to grab the infinity stones but they saw several agents were grabbing the Tesseract. Due to his knowledge from the future that those are Hydra agents posing as S.H.I.E.L.D agents, Cap joins them and pretends he's one of them and they handed him the cube.

Note#5- Captain Marvel was very hyped up long before Infinity War was out. It was said she is the most powerful superhero. She also had a movie coming between Infinity War and Endgame. When Infinity War ended on a cliffhanger and the post-credits were teasing her movie, people are saying she is the one who will bring down Thanos. Others make a joke that Ant-Man who be the one by ...well going up his butt and well...umm enlarging.... I seriously doubt that happens.

She did help Iron Man return back to Earth in the beginning and exchange a few blows against Thanos at the end but she had a very small role in Endgame.

Note#6- Endgame was meant to be the grand finale of the Infinity Saga and some of the actors' contracts of the numbers of movies they were in was about to be done. Someone dying was a possibility.

Note#7- After Thanos was defeated. Cap was planning to go back in time to return the stones exactly where they found them. However, he didn't come back from the portal, his friends notice a 90-year old man sitting on a park bench. Turns out he went back to his love that he left behind when he got frozen in the 1940s and didn't wake up till 2010s.

This confused people. Did he travel back in time? Didn't she moved on and get married? What if he was the husband and Sharon Carter is his biological granddaughter and they ki...ewww.

Others say he went to a different universe and didn't mess up the timestream.

Some are happy he got his happy ending. Others are not because he and Peggy moved on.

Various members of cast and crew had different answers on the ending.

Note#8- Marvel movies are known having post credits scenes. Stuff that teases the next movie. However for once, there was no post credits at all.

Imagine people who was still sitting in the seats in theater during the credits and all they see was nothing.

*Spoiler Warning for the whole thing, skip if you want*

1. You Will Cry... That there is no connection to the rest of the Marvel Multiverse.
If one can dream.

Man, I was hoping to see the Earth 616 Spider-man, or Tobey, Andrew, Miles, Miguel, or any other version.

2. You Will Cry...That this cliffhanger will go unresolved due to Sony not wanting Marvel Studios to make more Spider-Man movies.
Well maybe Sony will continue onward but it be subpar and not as good as the others. If not, they bring back Andrew Garfield and have 50 storylines shoved in one movie and even better, there were deleted scenes with 50 more unnecessary storylines with Peter's dad being alive.

3. With the whole world knowing who Spider-Man is, the next story is an adaptation of the infamous story, One More Day. In order to restore his secret identity and save his love ones, he has to sell his relationship with MJ that he had for one whole day to the devil and...ok this sounds more stupid than what happens in the comics. There's a world of difference between dating for a day compared to years of marriage.

4. You cry...That they tease you that Sandman, Hydro-man, Cyclone, and Molten Man are in the movie but it's not them.

Note#1- All the trailers showed Nick Fury telling Peter that Mysterio is from another universe. There is an established Marvel Multiverse with in the comics and shows. The MCU never did discover dimensional travel and explore the other universes.

Spider-Man: Far from Home is meant to be the end of Phase 3 where it was the aftermath of Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame. With the future of the MCU with Phase 4 and others are up to air, nobody knows what the future will bring as of yet. Them exploring the multiverse would make the MCU look like it's taking the next step in a big way.

However, the truth is that Mysterio was making a cover story to dupe Spidey and Fury, so there is no exploring the Multiverse.

Thankfully a few years later, the multiverse is getting explored in Phase 4.

Note#2- Sony who had the film rights to Spider-Man agreed to work with Marvel Studios to make Spider-man movies. Shortly after Far From Home was released, Sony wanted to make Spider-Man on their own with no Marvel. Either this was the end especially with the cliffhanger ending, or they would continue on their own with no references or connections to the other Marvel characters or events.

Thankfully, Sony and Marvel made a deal and we be got a 3rd Tom Holland film.

Note#3- The post credits showed Spider-Man's secret identity going public. I joked the next story is going to be based on the infamous storyline from the mid-2000s, One More Day.

In the comics events of Civil War(which the MCU movie is loosely based on), Spider-Man unmasked himself to the world. Problem is, his enemies now know who he is and planned to attack his love ones. Aunt May was shot and showing no signs of recovery.

The Marvel version of the devil called Mephisto appeared and offer Peter that he will save Aunt May and restore his secret identity if he gives up his marriage to MJ. They agreed and his years of marriage was magically erased from existence. Peter and MJ remember but not the whole world around them.
Everyone hated this direction. Marvel's higher ups thought Spidey be better off being a single man. Our hero making a deal with the devil? Also they were unaware MJ was preggers, who was magically aborted. It took 10 long years to finally get them back together. Thankfully the MCU didn't follow this story exactly and used another far less controversial methods.

Note#4- Mysterio's Elementals were loosely based on members of Spidey's rogues gallery.

You know it's bad when Tom Holland tells viewers the trailer does spoil the ending of Endgame
