You will Cry!!! in 2020

1. You will cry....That despite it's called Birds of Prey, it's mostly a Harley Quinn movie and the gang don't form together till the very end of the movie.

2. That Jered Leto is not in it and you barely seen some the back of some stand-in's head for two seconds.
Man, nobody came to a Birds of Prey movie to see the Birds of Prey, they came to see Joker. If he's not in it, than what's the point of watching?

3. That Harley's partner, Cassandra Cain is a talkative girl. A talkative girl, that's the stupidest thing I ever heard. Who's coming to see a talkative girl?

4. That Black Canary is more like Yellow Canary.

Does her outfit look black?

5. That key Bird of Prey member, Barbara Gordon aka Batgirl aka Oracle, is not in it.

6. That Bird of Prey is the #1 superhero movie of the year, simply because this movie came out before Covid screwed up everything up with everything delayed, went straight to streaming, or fewer people in select theaters, but who cares, it's the #1 superhero movie of the year.

7. That according to critics, it's a great movie, simply because of female-empowerment. (Movie's ok but it being female-empowered or not isn't about general opinion of the film.)

Note#1- If you came to see Harley Quinn, this is a good film to see. If you came to see the Birds of Prey, well good luck. They side characters in their own movie and they don't come together till the very end.
They are a mostly female group of vigilantes station at Gotham city.

Note#2- Alot people has different opinions of Jered Leto's Joker from Suicide Squad. He's either great or terrible. Others say it wouldn't really mattered because he only played a small role in that didn't leave an impact. Some felt like he got the shaft. Alot of his scenes were cut, gets a brief cameo of of the back of his head, and seems no more plans are laid out for him.(Aside a cameo from the Snyder cut) Also it didn't help that a Joker movie with Joaquin Phoenix that's separate from the DCEU came out shortly right after.

Note#3-Cassandra is a girl taught to be an assassin. She was never taught to speak, read, or develop social skills. She was an expert of body language and martial arts. She did fell in the side of good and worked with Batman to get away from her assassin lifestyle.

And in the movie, all we have is a talkative girl who is remotely nothing like her counterpart.

Is her outfit mostly yellow?

Note#4- Black Canary mostly wore yellow than black in the movie. There is a three second scene during the ending that the gang were fighting crime in new outfits that sort of look closer to their source material. I get some outfits don't translate well in live action that you have to make some alterations but go too far.

Note#5- Barbara Gordon is famously known as Batgirl, till one day the Joker shot her in the spine and became wheelchair bound. She still wanted to fight crime so she became Oracle. She formed the Birds of Prey and help the team or Batman with her computer skills. Despite being a key figure, she's not in the movie. Some say there's plans to have Batgirl in a future movie that may or may not happen. Who knows, for some reason, the higher ups didn't want her in the movie.

Note#6- Some people didn't like this film. They say it's not going to get much in the box office and all the supposed upcoming movies will outperform it. Months later, it dawned on me, that it came out before Covid hit the states, meaning ironically that the movie would be most viewed film of the year. However it wasn't and Sonic the Hedgehog ended up as the most viewed.

By the end of the year, some people on Twitter were celebrating the movie was the superhero movie of the year. Which is funny since it can't really outperform if it had no one in the race.

Note#7- Some people are simply phrasing the movie for simply being female-empowered. I admit if you watch it for Harley Quinn, it's a enjoyable but ok movie. But for the others, no so much. You barely saw your female crimefighting team and some of them barely resemble who they suppose to be.

I mean Catwoman and Legend of Chun-Li had female leads and they are very very poor examples of girl power because they are bad movies that does the source material a great disservice. Imagine critics phrasing it because they are "Female-empowerment."

1. I'm going to make you watch Sonic and...Wait, forget Sonic. You should be watching the Super Mario Bros movie instead.

Who cares it's nothing like the game? Everyone knows Mario is better than Sonic. Even watching a terrible adaptation of Mario is better than anything Sonic related.

Also why did animators took to time for Sonic get redesigned while no one bother to change Bowser from a human businessman to a dinosaur/turtle thing during mid-production. *shakes fist towards Sonic*

2. You will cry when you Sonic as realistic humanoid hedgehog with muscular legs and perfectly good human choppers.

Note#1- Mario and Sonic were really big rivals in the 90s when they were the main mascots of game systems. In recent years, Sega hasn't have any consoles and isn't competing against Nintendo. Mario and Sonic has join forces in Smash Bros and Olympic games.

Note#2-When the trailer of Sonic came out. It broke the internet and caused it to go all fan rage. Everyone from fans to creators of the games express extreme dislike over Sonic's design.

This cause the movie to be put on hold, just so the animators can work on the clock to redesign him and make him closer to how he's suppose to look. When a new trailer came out with his redesign, everyone's opinion of the upcoming movie became a complete 180.

I'm going to make you watch Arkansas. You will cry my fellow Arkansans when you see our state is represented with drug dealers. I know Pine Bluff is infamously nickname Crime Bluff but gee.
Well at least it's not as bad as that Boggy Creek sequel that was on MST3K that showed the citizens as swamp-drinking, wheat chewing, overall-wearing rednecks.

I'm going to spoil all the virus delayed movies you haven't seen yet by...
Reading back this cereal box.
Anything spoiled by Mulan's dolls.

Anything due to the early release of the toys.

Reading this book

Spoiling the movie by telling you what the action figures say and....Wait a minute? This is based on a novel from the 60s. I be a little too late to spoil anybody.

Note- The Coronavirus affected the world and caused everything that was planned to be delayed. Unfortunately, all the tie-in merchandise had a set schedule and they came out when the films were intended to came out. I remember seeing Minion-related food in every isle in stores, a movie that still won't be out till next year at 2022.

Thankfully most didn't spoil too much. Godzilla vs Kong could of spoiled far far more.

Sadly, Wonder Woman 1984 suffer the worse of this with it's novelization, spoiling the entire movie half a year before it finally came out. Even dolls of the climax of Wonder Woman and her opponent was out on endcaps near electronics. What's sad is I saw alot WW84's stuff in the clearance isle. Kids may not want to buy stuff on things they never saw.

Tie-in merch can normally spoil a movie but it's usually in a very small timeframe just right before the film's release but with everything with Covid, you can spoiled clearly long before you have a chance to see the film.

1. You cry...That Scoob isn't speaking his R's.

2. That Shaggy's name is Norville.

3. That this movie is more of a Hanna Barbera Crossover than a regular Scooby film.

Note#1- Scooby speaking regularly caught some people by surprised. However over the decades, Scooby has somewhat phased out of speaking every single word and replace it's 1st letter with R. This was hard to do for the several actors who played Scooby. Not everyone watch every single incarnation of the franchise and some haven't seen the Scooby in years, so him speaking in nearly perfect English may be a shock.

Note#2- Shaggy's real name as Norville may be a shock to some people. His name was revealed in a TV show in the late 80s called A Pup named Scooby Doo. I seen the show but I don't remember hearing the name Norville offhand.

Note#3- The film starts as an origin story of how Scoob met Shaggy and later the gang as kids and solving mysteries, but shortly after, it became a different thing all together. They join forces with Blue Falcon, Dynomutt, and Dee Dee, met Captain Caveman, and clashed against Dick Dastardly. I only knew of Dick and his dog from Wacky Racers, everyone else is unknown to me.

Here's the trailer

1.You Will Cry...That you can't watch it since this movie is delayed, again, and again.

2.After so many years of hints and teases...Your not going to see Mr. Sinister.

Note#1- This movie became infamous due to it's numerous delays. It was going to play in 2018 but got delayed to avoid the release of Deadpool 2. It was going to be in 2019 but delay to avoid Dark Phoenix. Then Disney acquired Fox and this got delayed again. It was going to air in April 2020 but Covid-19 delay the movie again till it was finally released in late August of 2020.

Note#2-

Mister Sinister aka Nathaniel Essex is a major foe to the X-Men. He was teased in the later half of the 2010s but it was never meant to be.

X-Men: Apocalypse had a post-credits scene of Essex corporation acquiring a vial of Wolverine's blood. He was talked about by various directors and writers about appearing in a later movie. An orphanage in Deadpool 2 was owned by Sinister.
It seems early in development that it was planned he be in it but it didn't happen. He may of been in the planned but never produced Channing Tatum's Gambit film.

1. You will cry...That Mushu isn't in it. Man, nobody came to see Mulan to see Mulan, they came for Eddie Murphy. Also no one is singing.

2. That the main actress supports the police brutality in Hong Kong. Go boycott the film.

Note#1- Some people were wonder why is the movie so different from the one they love. The problem people had with the previous live-action Disney remakes like Lion King, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast are shot-by-shot remakes and your basically re-watching the same movies but with minor added scene here and there. Mulan for once tried to be it's own thing and not be a shot-by-shot remake.

However even people knew it was supposed to be different, people still found the original Disney version to be superior and people still wish to see Mushu or hearing, "Make a man out of you." just to enjoy the movie more.

Note#2-Yeah there is some controversy where people wanting the film be boycott because the actress' political statements of what was happening in Hong Kong.

You will cry...That the Ghostbusters 2016 trend has now carried on to the American Pie series.

Note- American Pie was a popular raunchy comedy about a group of boys on a quest to lose their virginities. It had several sequels.

Ghostbusters 2016 was a controversial film back then. It was a reboot of a beloved film with all female cast but alot people said the movie was terrible. Some fired back saying it's great because of female empowerment but others say a bad movie is simply a bad movie and it's not a good example of female empowerment and this wasn't the Ghostbusters movie they wanted to see. They say you shouldn't abandon a good story over a political agenda.

It's your right if you want to see Ghostbusters and your free to have your own opinion. All I know is the Ghostbusters trailer broke the internet.

Anyways, it seems the American Pie franchise now has an all female cast movie. I'm sure there is some backlash but it's a cheap direct to DVD spinoff that no one would care about, even it was an all male or diverse cast. I didn't know this existed till I saw the DVD on some endcap at one point.

You will cry...That director Paul W.S. Anderson is letting his wife play as some OC as the main character.

Note- I played a little of Monster Hunter and I'm aware of the Resident Evil games but I was never deeply both of them..

I know the Resident Evil movies that's based on the games are infamous because the famous game characters get sidelined by some Original Character(OC) who was never in the games played by the director's wife. He's now directing Monster Hunter and his wife is the main character.

I don't know much of the film, I read up something about group of army rangers from the real world get teleported to Monster Hunter world. It may not have the same controversy the Resident Evil movies had but if you heard the director is making a video game adaptation with his wife as the main character, the 1st thing in your mind may come up what you remember from his earlier adaptations.

You will cry when you see Colonel Sanders in some finger lickin action. Like eww....

Note- You think this is a parody on that somebody made on Youtube but no, Lifetime actually made a short romance movie that's has Colonel Sanders as the main character. It may be hard to take for some people that this is an actual real movie.

This isn't the 1st time KFC did something weird with their brand. There is a dating game in Japan called, I love you Colonel Sanders.

There is also a few DC comics where Colonel Sanders joins forces with different versions of himself from alternate universes and they battle an evil version of Sanders who sells cheap poorly made chicken.

You will cry...That Wonder Woman totally raped a guy.

Note-It may be unintended but the scene where she sleeps with her "boyfriend" ended up being controversial and everyone mention the bad implications of it. Also, she and Steve put that body in danger when they go across the world and nearly got shot.

she renounces her wish at the end and the dude woke up with no idea what happen. So was he roofie? The makers of the film said the events of the dude getting bodyjacked never happen when Diana renounces her wish.

Here's the trailer
