TMNT allies from Mirage comics

The Ninja Turtles been around for several decades with comics, shows, movies, and games. While they are a 4-man team, they did had help over the years.

Here is a list of TMNT allies over the years. I be mentioning the ones introduce in the old black and comics 1st.

I made funny.
This is Splinter, he is the Turtles' ninja sensei. He is also a caring father of the four. He is the old wise type teacher of character that often gives helpful advise to the turtles. In some versions, he is a human known as Hamato Yoshi who got mutated into a rat. In other versions, he is Hamato Yoshi's pet rat that flee into the sewers after witnessing Shredder killing Yoshi. Splinter later get mutated to a human-size rat. His favorite hobby is watching Soap Operas.

Fun Fact: In the 1st issue of the Mirage comics, Splinter train the Turtles to be his personal hitman to assassinate the Shredder, not to help them prepare in the dangerous world. The later Mirage comics try to make Splinter closer to his other counterparts as a caring father.

What at story

April O'Neil is the Turtles 1st human ally. She helps the turtles out as they go out the surface world. She had several different jobs in the different versions. She was a reporter, owner of an antique shop, scientist, archaeologist, or a teenager in school.

The 1st cartoon, she was more of a comical damsel in distress. Later versions have her trained by Splinter. She had ninja skills and sometimes armed with a sword. In the 1st cartoon, she infamously known for wearing that yellow jumpsuit that doesn't look like a reporter outfit.

In her 1st appearance in the 03 series, she's infamously known for not exactly looking like a regular scientist. All her later appearances in the 03 series have her in regular outfits. She infamously known to have Megan Fox cast as her in the newer live-action movies, and to Mirage comic fans, she's infamous for having a dumb origin story.
Late in the Mirage comics run, April time travel back to the time of her birth in the form of a cockroach. She witness her father found a magic crystal and use on pencil and paper which led to April being born. That's right, April is a drawing that came to life. Pretty dumb origin and during her time as a cockroach, her roach instincts gave in and did stuff that cockroaches do. I leave that to your imagination.

Fun fact: April in the original comics wasn't a fair skin redhead. She had a darker skin tone with dark curly hair(tho she did got a perm early on, it was the 80s). She could be White, Black, Hispanic, or Mixed. Nobody wasn't quite sure of her race. The cartoon and later versions pretty much have her as a fair skin redhead. People complain that the tan-skinned, dark hair Megan Fox didn't look like April but ironically, she was the closest to the original April

Goongala!
Casey Jones is the other main human ally. He is a crime fighting vigilante that wears a hockey mask and equipped with sports gear as weapons. He's usual best buds with Raph since they're both hotheads and other similar things. He is usually April's main love interest. In the original cartoon, he was more of a recurring guest character than part of the main gang. He was more of an extreme comical crimefighter than a realistic man that's kinda clumsy that shown in other versions.

He was originally a parody of vigilantes at the time because they all have tragic backstories. Casey's origin in the old comics was he was inspired to fight crime after watching too many terrible cop shows.

In the middle of the comics, Casey quickly outgrew from being a parody. Casey accidentally killed a punk kid. This made him quit being the vigilante and became a huge drunk. He broke up April and drove across country. He later met a pregnant women called Gabriel and fell in love and got married. She died from childbirth a few months after. Casey took his new daughter and named her Shadow. He went to his mother's apartment in NYC and be the place's handyman. The mother then sold the apartment to new buyer, who happens to be April and the two got back together.

Alloys-y!

The Fugitoid is the Turtles helpful cyborg friend from the planet D'Hoonib. He was once a (Non-Earthling)Human called Professor Honeycutt. An accident happen where his brain was transfer to a robot. The name Fugitoid is a mix of fugitive and android. He's on the run from both the Federation and Tricertion Republic due his invention, a teleportion devise. They want it to be used to teleport nukes inside the center of the planet. Being a peaceful pacifist, Honeycutt told them no.

He's in the new Nickelodeon cartoon and voiced by David Tennant/10th Doctor. Alloys-y!

Utroms are a race of aliens. A group of them crashed on the planet Earth long ago and were stranded. They disguise themselves as humans and own the TCRI building. They are the makers of the mutagen in half the versions of TMNT. The Turtles raided their base to learn the secrets of their origin and to find the missing Splinter at the time. After learning they weren't bad guys, the Utroms forgive the Turtles for raiding their building and finally went back to their home planet. They came back late in the comics run and made 1st contact with Earth.

In the 2003 series, an Utrom criminal named Ch'rell was responsible for crashing the Utrom ship. He later took the identity of the Shredder.

Krang was loosely based on these guys. Krang was a evil warlord that lost his body rather than part of an alien species that look like brains.

Secert of the Ooze was going to have a plot twist that Professor Perry was an Utrom. Since Krang is a major villain from a popular cartoon rather than a group of aliens from an indie comic, the audience can easily get it mixed up and the plot twist was scrapped.

Well I say. I guarantee.

Some of you whose only familiar with the original cartoon be surprised Leatherhead is on the list of allies. That's because that version of Leatherhead is different from most of the other ones. In certain versions, Leatherhead is the only other mutant besides the Turtles.

He was a flushed down pet that ended up in the Utroms area and accidentally got mutated. He became friends with them but he miss his ride to the Utrom planet and was left behind. The departure was rushed due to police, and Tricertions attacking (or Utrom Shredder in 03 series).

His personality is that he is basically an overgrown muscular Don. He can build alot gadgets. He has this Jekyll/Hyde or Bruce Banner/Hulk thing. He can easily go into a berserk state.

In the Archie comics, he was a human called Jess Harley till he got cursed to his alligator state.

Renet is a Timestress apprentice. She has a ditz personality. She takes the Turtles through time and space with a magical scepter. Her arch-nemesis is Savanti Romero. Due to being a time traveler, she meets the Turtles out of chronological order. Meaning the turtles can meet a fully matured adult Renet one time and then back to a ditzy teen the next time they see her. Mikey has a huge crush on her in 2012 series.

Fun Fact: There was one adventure where she and the Turtles go to ancient Japan to combat Savanti Romero and a giant lizard creature. Yes, the 3rd live-action movie was very loosely based on this comic.

Radical is a Native-American woman with superpowers. Her nemesis is Complete Carnage who can phase through objects. She never made any appearances outside of the original comic. In the distance future, she and Leo were a couple.

I am the vengeance, I am the night, I am Nobody

Nobody is a crimefighter that was once a detective. He was fired from his job when he tried to investigate a man who secretly was an arms dealer. The arms dealer issued a complaint about this cop was harassing him. Nobody is basically TMNT's version of Batman.

In one universe, he got killed anticlimactically and then brought back to life decades later. In another, he became a member of the Justice Force.

The Justice Force is basically TMNT's version of Justice League. There two generations of them. Most of the 1st generation is in a retirement home. Half of them had encounters with the Turtles before the Justice Force was established in the show, like Silver Sentry(Superman basically) and Nano is who is now mature and not a trouble maker. Mikey crimefighting identity, Turtle Titan is an honorarily member.

In the original comics, after the death of the Shredder. The Foot was in a civil war and all of NYC was in a crossfire. Karai who is head of the Japanese branch of the Foot came to America and made a truce with the Turtles to help her restore order to the Foot and she promise the Foot's vendetta against the Turtles be gone. The Karai in the old comics was very different to her later versions. She was Shredder's equal and old enough to have a daughter.

In the later versions, she is the Shredder's adopted daughter as well as his 2nd-in-command. She is a character in conflict, struggling between her honor and her loyalty to her father. At times, she's the Turtles ally or their enemy.

TMNT had crossovers with several other properties like Batman, Ghostbusters, a dozen indie comics back in the 80s. However, they are either forgettable one-shots or non-canon.
The best well know crossover that happens in multiple versions of TMNT is Usagi Yojimbo. Usagi's comics is basically Feudal Japan with animals. The reasons he appeared in alot crossovers is because creators of TMNT and Usagi Yojimbo are friends.

Image comics had the rights to TMNT comics in the late 90s and it was a continuation of Vol.1 and 2. Savage Dragon is a cop in Chicago who hunts down bad guys. He and the Turtles join forces several times.

Horridus is a character from Savage Dragon series. She was Mikey girlfriend during TMNT's Image run.

TMNT Allies: Classic cartoon and Live-action

This is April's channel 6 news crew.  The guy in the pink shirt is Vernon who is currently played by Will Arnett . He's usually trying to hog away the glory from April. The overweight guy is Burne. He is April's boss. He's basically the TMNT version of J.Jonah Jameson, always thinking the Turtles are criminal scum. He's currently played by Whoopi Goldburg. Yes, they re-imagined him as a black woman. The woman in glasses is Irma and she's always dreaming about meeting the man of her dreams. She's currently voiced in the new cartoon by *Major spoilers ahead*, Gilbert Gottfried. She was secretly a Kraang spy disguise as April's friend.

The Neutrinos are like totally 80s dudes(more so than the Turtles) from Dimension X who ride on flying cars and hate war.

The Punk Frogs were regular frogs in Flordia swamps that were exposed to ooze. Shredder found them and plan to make them the Anti-TMNT. Since Splinter named the Turtles after his favorite renaissance artists, Shredder named the frogs after his "heroes", which is Napoleon, Attila, Genghis, and Rasputin. The Punk Frogs quickly learn Shredder was the bad guy and not the Turtles and switch sides.

Zach is a Turtle fanboy. He dressed up as a turtle and tries to help them. The Turtles call him an honorary 5th turtle. He wasn't well-beloved to the fans.

The Pulverizer in the new series is pretty much the same guy, except he comes across more of an annoyance  to the Turtles. Also he's at lease funny because he tries so hard to be cool but this untrained ninja falls flat in his face.

Mona Lisa is a human turned into lizard mutant. She's popular with the fanbase despite only appearing in one episode. She's basically set up as Raph's love interest. She's in the new series as an alien salamander whose enemies with the Triceratons. She and Raph like to do Eskimo kisses.

Mondo Gecko is like totally early 90s skateboarding dude. He is the Venus before Venus was (un)cool because he came from the same bowl as the turtles but got separated when a gangster pick him. Other versions have him a rocking singer or teen skateboarder turn mutant gecko. He's currently voiced by Mikey from the live-action movies.

Lotus Blossum is the Karai before Karai was cool. She even predated Karai's 1st appearance in the original comics. Lotus was hired by Krang to help him and plans like she replace the Shredder. Leo quickly went head over heels with her despite she's the enemy(alot like how Leo is to Karai in the 2012 series). She did join the good side in the end. She only appeared in two episodes.

Ace Duck is a fighter pilot turned mutant duck. His action figure was popular with the fans. He appeared very briefly on the Turtles' TV. He was in the Archie comics as an intergalactic wrestler.

Metalhead is the robot version of the Turtles. He was created by the bad guys to destroy the Turtles. Donnie reprograms him and he becomes a good guy. He briefly appeared in one more episode and it was a quick cameo. Donnie pulls him out to vacuum the sewer floor and that's it. In the new cartoon, he's Donnie's invention.

Interesting about Metalhead is there is similar characters whose not named Metalhead as well a different character with the same name.
The other Metalhead. He's a member of the Justice Force with moveable metal hair. He's in the old comics and 2003 series.

Mechaturtle was a boss character in the 1st NES game. He existed long before Metalhead.

Turtlebot was created by Baxter to stop the Turtles. He's also in the video games based on the 2003 series with a different origin. He was going to be in the Dreamwave comics with another origin but the series got cancelled. I don't think he's based on Metalhead, rather a similar concept. The 2003 series was trying to be like more of the Mirage comics and less of the original cartoon.

Muckman was a trashman who got mutated into a trash-like monster. He's usually with Joe Eyeball.

Mutagen Man was a mailman named Seymour Gutz(HA!) that fell in a pool of mutagen that turn him into a pile of guts in a jar full of mutagen. He did return to normal at the end of the episode. The 2012 version was far more darker. The Pulverizer try to be like the turtles, so he mutated himself. However, this causes him with his gruesome appearance. He hasn't return to normal and his mind has went berserk.

Kerma is a Turtleoid from the planet, Shell-Ri-La. He came to Earth and recruited the Turtles to help him on his "small" problem. These "small" problems are usually 2-headed dragons or a knockoff of the Terminator.

When the rumors the Turtles were going to be aliens in the 2014 movie, people act there's never been a entire planet of Turtles, actually there was. However that doesn't mean the Turtles have to radically change their origins.

Carter is a man who wanted to find Hamato Yoshi and study under him. He was surprised he is a rat. He joined very late in the series and became the 5th member of the team. There was a story arc where the Turtles mutation was going out of control and turn them into Hulk-like creatures every now and than. A sample of the ooze fell on Carter and he transforms into this mohawk chicken from time to time.

Now characters from live-action movies and tv show.
Danny Pennington is son of April's boss in the 1st movie. He was in the wrong crowd. He ran away from home and join the Foot. He gave away to Shredder he saw weird turtles at April's apartment. Feeling sorry how Shredder was beating up Splinter, Danny decided to change sides and help Splinter escape. At the end, he made up with his father.

Keno is a pizza delivery boy who ended up stuck in a middle of a fight between the Turtles and robbers. He became friends with the Turtles and help them find the Foot's new hideout.

Kenshin is a man from Feudal Japan that switch places with April when she traveled to Japan.

Mitsu was a woman who was in love with Kenshin. She helped the Turtles when they got stuck in Japan.

Whit is an English mercenary who works for the English trader, Walker. He was imprisoned with April. When the Jailbreak happen, he helped her and the Turtles out. He betrayed them and took the time specter to Walker. He changed his mind again and killed Walker in the end.

He is Casey Jones' ancestor and played by the same actor.

This is Venus. She's from the infamous short lived show, The Next Mutation. She is not loved by fans.

She came from the same jar as the other turtles but she got separate from the others and was raised by a Chinese man. She is the last Shinobi which is a person with magical powers. However in the real world, Shinobi is the same as Ninja and the show act like it's a separate thing. She quickly defeated the Shredder within her 1st encounter with him. Only in the live-action show states that the Turtles are not blood related only just so the show can pair her up with one of the Turtles.

One of the creators of TMNT hates her so much, she is never brought up at all. Even if you are making fun of her, you can't talk about her.Having a girl turtles destroys the Turtles uniqueness because they are the last of their kind. In the TMNT multiversal crossover, Turtles Forever, of all the universes shown, Next Mutation was missing when all the Turtle universes were shown.

The Two Apartments: Behind the scenes, facts, and deleted material.

If you haven't read the story, click here.

Well it took me several years to write a sequel to the 1st chapter of the Copper Ring saga but I finally continued.

I did had plans and ideas over the years of the 2nd chapter whenever I did get back on Copper Ring saga.

The gang was suppose to split up at where routes 79 and 49 meet up when I wrote the 1st draft. That seems a random location to write and I doubt most people know where it is. It's been so long since I wrote the 1st draft, I wasn't sure what "Rohan" was intended. It's possible that "Rohan" was meant to be West Memphis since it's the biggest city on that side of Arkansas. I think when I wrote the 1st draft, I just pulled random major Arkansas cities and made them locations of the story. As I was writing my story for my blog, I try to make more of a path towards Petit Jean or any other major location instead of going random places in Arkansas.

"Rohan" was always intended to be a ranch. With Petit Jean Mountain, Conway, and Russellville are the major locations of the story that was established in the 1st chapter, it be obvious to put the Ranch somewhere in central Arkansas.

Look up on youtube, "They're taking the hobbits to Isengard", if you wonder why Pretty Boy was singing.

I try for nearly a half an hour of what the Neo-Red Coats and Evil Cave Dwellers were fighting about. . I wonder if I should make a Kirk vs Picard argument. I already made a Mario vs Sonic joke in the Lonokean Empire saga.

I never did figure out a title for the 2nd chapter of the Copper Ring saga till recently. I thought be funny the most deadly forces in Arkansas are living in cheap apartments

The "Ents" were always planned to be tree hugging hippies.

Some of you who read the story in the 1st few hours that the story was posted saw Gardener gave Kind Boy a can of Coke-Cola Vanilla. I had to change it to a Pepsi Twist real quick because I misread that Coke-Cola Vanilla was a discontinued drink. It was but reintroduced later and still in shelfs. Since the story takes place back then, might as well thrown some references to that era.

"Arwen" didn't exist at all and I had no intention of writing romance scenes. I quickly wrote her as I was getting ready to post my story. I thought be kinda funny to make a scene of the Cowgirl getting green-eyed

In the 1st draft of the 1st chapter, "Aragorn" and "Boromir" were Swordguy and Swordguy II. As I rewrote Swordguy to Chris, Swordguy II lost his 2. Swordguy's bro ended up as Swordguy II

One of the biggest differences I noticed between the book and movie is Faramir was alot more nicer to the Hobbits. Book nerds should be happy that Swordguy II didn't desired the cheap copper ring that came from a coin machine.

I recently added an entry on the 1st chapter that Swordguy's body was put on a boat and sailed upstream. Otherwise,  Swordguy II never learn of his bro's death.

Gardener having giant radish pulling powers was something that I came up as I was writing the sequel.

Hopefully it won't take a another decade to write another sequel to the copper ring saga.
