So basically they try to do the plot of Fallen Kingdom several decades early.
I haven't seen that movie yet just to let everyone know. I do know the plot is a volcano on Isla Nublar is erupting.
Level started on a empty door that you can't enter.
Found a doorway, wonder what's on the other side...
Oh come on!!!
There was ammo that short room.
There's one of the bombs with those two guarding it.
I'm surprised he's not burning to death.
Crossed a bridge and found this laying around.
Little room to jump.
I know I'm in a hurry but I can't take the loss of HP. Walk in front of that rock and then step back as it fall.
Found a small room with health.
Hmm. Get burn by the pyro or from the crack in the ground.
It's best to take care of him quickly before you lose more health.
Hmm. At a crossroads, I'm going right.
I entered a doorway and...
Quick, duck!!!
After killing them, I wonder what's here?
Nothing.
After collecting the 3rd bomb and entering the doorway, do yourselves a favor, don't take the right path.
Gotta wait for every volcano to stop erupting.
And right after, I have to make sure fire isn't coming out of the cracks.
The annoying chompies are back very briefly.
And the annoying raptors are back very briefly. At least it's the very weak ones.
Just to let you guys know, after collecting your 4th bomb, you arrive in a room with three doorways. Don't take middle one. It will take you to a room, that leads to a different room that has ammo and health. I found it a waste of time. Even if you needed health, your more likely going lose what you gain before coming out of the middle door and lose alot time on the time limit.
Back in one of those small rooms again. Let's continue onwards.
Run Run Run!!!
The Tricertops is now the boss of this level. He charges and then retreats back a little. Unload all your gas rockets and shotgun to take care of him.
He was guarding the 5th bomb.
The next room has the 6th and final bomb.
After grabbing that and passing the next small volcano. He opens his device.
If your playing on easy, that be the end of the game and let the credits roll.
Well I'm in the jungle setting again. What's with the time limit.
Suddenly, you hear a familiar roar and certain music starts playing.
Came to the end and found two ammo packs and a pit.
A few levels ago, one of the emergency missions gave me a new weapon, the super gas rockets. However you start the level ammoless. You can pick up ammo for it but it's only one missile. It's kinda pointless. At least my showdown with the T-Rex here, I receive 20 of them before the mission started.
It takes everything to take down this dude. All you super gas missiles, gas rockets, shotgun.
As he's chasing after you. He stop and roars. Gives you a few seconds to fire two in his face before chasing.
When you get to the pit. He's over your head, this provide a good way to unleash all your ammo on him. This will push him back a little. If you are using less powerful ammo, it won't push him and he would take a chomp on you.
Wait, how can a T-Rex explode? Is Micheal Bay directing this game?
If this is normal mode, credits would roll after this showdown.
We're not done yet.
The final boss is this Biosyn helicopter.
This is the hardest boss, not by high health, or powerful attacks, but by trying to figure out the new controls at the last minute of the game.
You move the chopper with the control pad while the ABXY buttons are the firing ones. One button fires up and one fires a different direction. You have to hold two to put Alan's gun in a directional path. This is hard to figure out.
Those seeker missile hurt like crazy. Shoot them down before you resume shooting the enemy.
Even you figure out the control, the boss is still hard. There are multiple spots you need to destroy. Even if you destroy them all, there is maybe a part you miss. Once I realized, those parts exist, I had to change plans a little to take care of them.
After a while, I got the enemy's chopper to go down.
That's the end of Jurassic Park 2: The Chaos Continues. It's a very very challenging game. I would only recommend it to super hardcore gamers who like old-school hard games. The unlimited continues may help. With the game having no saves, passwords, or lives, it's makes it harder.(Unless your using save states) Your suppose to do this in one go, it would of been helpful if the game saved after completing a level..
The graphics are good as well as the music. The opening made be the coolest thing for the Super Nintendo to do. The story was nothing special really, it does remember Biosyn from the novels and who Nedry was chatting with in the 1st movie. The later movies kinda forgot about them for a good while. Alan Grant being gun-ho action hero is kinda laughable. As for replay value, there's really not much on this, unless you beat the game on easy and then play harder difficulties, just so you want to bring down the T-Rex and the enemy chopper.
