Jurassic Park II: The Chaos Continues LP Part 10: Why hasn't Alan Grant turned into BBQ?

View part 9

Two more main missions left

Like some of the other levels, your in the jungle setting for a few seconds. Watch for raptors in your brief trip.

Ahh..Alan? How come your not burning to death right now.

I'm no scientist but being in the same room as lava means your are cooked alive. This is your usual video game cliche where your playable character easily goes into a lava-theme level and is totally fine as long you don't touch the lava.

At least with Metroid and Zelda: Ocarina of Time, they let you equip the Varia Suit and Goron Tunic to survive the super hot temps to somewhat make it more plausible.

This level is a complete maze. It's hard to trace where you been. There is a way to figure out how to go through the maze to where your mission objection is, listen to the beeping. It's the transmitter and you can hear it throughout the level. It will get louder and louder as you get close. If you enter the wrong door and your barely hear it, your going the wrong way.

Or you can use the internet to look.

The annoying birds from the mountain level are back

Those flames are nothing but background decoration.

Some sort of shockwave. Is that lava or something?

Eck!! More raptors in my face.(My character fizzled out due to damage)

Glad he can't hurt me.

You lose health if you get hit by it. Somehow this doesn't turn Mr. Grant into a charred skeleton.

Even the dactyls behind the lavafall are immune to the fires.

Hmm? Which way do I go.

Why is it so small in here?

Oh my gosh!! Move..Move!!!

Like the 1st SNES game, the triceratops are unkillable. It's not worth going down this path. Time for other doors.

I recognize this area, it's the other side of the triceratops room. Better turn around.

Good gosh, I was barely lucky to defeat this lizard.

Ok, how do I avoid this. The spitter is in perfect position to vomit on me while I have to deal with this raptor.

On the other side of that collapsible bridge is a dactyl. Be prepared to take them down quick while crossing.

Found one those dumb A.I. raptors saying, "What I do? What I do?"

I have a hard time believing what Alan said in JP3 about raptors possibly being a dominate species of the planet.

Found health but with the multiple dead ends I encounter. I may forget this place on the next life while exploring.

The way the raptor's sprite jumping uphill is funny.

It took me a while to find, even with paying attention to the beeping in the background.

Here it is.

The doorway to the way out is right ahead. After that, it's very straight forward.

The next area had dactyls all over the place. I equipped the automatic tranquilizers and it quickly mowed them down.

Good gosh. He came out of nowhere.

With barely any room to move, I had to rapidly press the fire button on the gas rockets.

Found some eggs.

This room is extremely hard. There are a dozen raptors in these little halls. I had to replay the level a little, just to have a little more health but it's still not enough. I still barely have health and ammo to make it through. Good news is that raptors are not counted with your 100 dino kills limit so you can go to lethal if you want.

Found a dozen broken eggs.

Walking forward at this point causes our hero to plant a device.

Now I have to run from the explosion.

Made it out the cave
